Prince Agyiri went home the happiest man on Saturday after sweeping all to emerge champion of this year’s MTN Classic Golf tournament which teed off to a great success at the Tema Country Golf Club.

The competition, the 7th in the annual series is seen as an opportunity for the Enterprise Team of sponsors, MTN Ghana to engage the high valued clients and customers, media as well as prospective clients in the Business community.

Agyiri returned a total score of 41 points to top the highly competitive men’s group A category of the one-day tournament by four clear points to go home with the huge trophy prize as well as a Samsung S8 phone, MTN Modem and souvenirs.

Second place was taken by evergreen E.T. Mensah who totaled 37 points of course to also win a prize set of trophy, Huawei G8 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs whilst 3rd and 4th placed were both rewarded with a trophy, Huawei Y6 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs each after Patrick Tender could only beat Godwin Asim on countback after both finished on 35 points.

Men’s group B saw Augustine Mensah winning the ultimate on a points’ return of 34 to beat Eric Asare (31 points) and Gorkeh Sekyim (30) into 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Mensah received a trophy, Huawei G8 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs whilst Asare and Sekyim each went home with a trophy, Huawei Y6 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs as their prizes.

The ladies division was topped by Constance Awuni who received a trophy, Samsung S8 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs for winning group A after returning 35 points playing off handicap 8.

Cathy Fabbi took second spot with 33 points off handicap 19 to also receive a prize set of trophy, Huawei G8 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs whilst Jessica Tei finished 3rd on 27 points and also went home with a trophy, Huawei Y6 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs.

In ladies’ group B, Gladys Awuni stood tallest, beating Rubabat Oseni into the runner-up spot after returning 33 points playing off handicap 27 to her rival who totalled 28 points off handicap 35. Awuni took home a trophy of course, a Huawei G8 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs whilst Oseni got a trophy, Huawei Y6 phone, MTN modem and souvenirs.
