It appears the rising demand of accountability by the Youth of Ada from their political leaders is not ending soon as the number of concerned groups keep increasing.
Currently on Whatsapp and Facebook , is a group of young natives of Ada who go by the name Ada Youth for Development (AYD) ,and their main goal is to come together to help the Ada Community development through any positive means available.
The motto of the group is ‘Together We Stand’ and their everyday slogan is ‘Arise Generational Thinkers, Ada Must Work Again.’

The group which appears well organized than many of its kind we have seen in the past has a carefully outlined and scripted objectives which reads as follows;
1. To bring the youth of Ada under one umbrella; both home and abroad for the purpose of development.
2. To promote and protect the welfare and interest of the youth and Ada as a whole.
3. To serve as a watchdog and ensure accountability from our leaders for the betterment of the people.
4. To liaise and seek for development from government, public officials, organizations and individuals among others for the youth and Ada land.
5. To educate, arouse and increase public interest in developmental and other national affairs.
6. To promote quality education and organized programs to facilitate youth empowerment and development.
For now, the group has no permanent leadership but there is an interim management made up of Joseph Nyabu as Chairman, Prince Ofori Kpodo as Secretary, Julia Abotsi – Treasurer, Benjamin Agbloe – Organiser and Andrews Ofoe – PRO.

However on whatsapp , Enoch Kweku, Patrick Kabutey and Andrews Ofoe coordinate the activities of the group.
When Adacommunityonline.com asked the PRO of the group, Andrews Ofoe, what makes this group better to succeed than others we had before, without hesitation, he said the previous groups were visionless without a clearcut mission hence their failure.
“It only takes visionary leaders with hardwork and determination to survive the test of time. This very group has laid down all the necessary structures including legal framework to ensure it’s survival,” Mr. Ofoe said.
“Moreover, considering the commitment and enthusiam showed by members in this few months of our operations, it is a clear evidence of our survival,” he added.
Adding to this, Patrick Kabutey, an interim member of the advisory board said; “Most of those (failed) groups were formed based on personal interests, but every member of this group(AYD) understands the need to develop Ada which puts it in a better position to succeed.”
As part of plans to strengthen the group, Andrews said that they are in advanced stage to get the group registered at the Registrar General’s Department to make it a legitimate institution for the task ahead. He also said a constitution which will bind all members is currently going through final review.
The main source of funding to fuel the activities of the group, they said will come mainly from donations and contributions from members and also corporate institutions who believe in the objectives of the group.
On how the group intends to achieve its goals, he said they intend to hold public officials accountable for all what they do in the interest of the Ada people, and also make sure the general public is well sensitised on developmental programmes meant for them.
The group which currently hold a membership of about 500 across Facebook and Whatsapp was started on the Facebook social network by concerned young natives who think the political leadership of the Ada Community are not being responsible and accountable to their people.
Though there has being a series of unofficial meetings, a big one has been scheduled for next Sunday, March 13th, 2016 for the first official meeting of the group at the First Star Hotel in Kasseh-Ada at 12pm.
He concluded by maintaining that the group is a non-partisan one and encouraged all interested youth of Ada who are willing to join the group to send their whatsapp numbers to 0246749568/0261513368 so they would be part in making our homeland a happy, lovely and above all a peaceful place.
He said the hashtag for the project is #Ada Must Work Again.
