Ghana’s senior female football team, the Black Queens, thrashed Tunisia 4-0 on Tuesday to complete a 6-1 aggregate scoreline to book a place at the 10th edition of the African Women’s Championship in Cameroon.
The tournament is scheduled for 19 November to 3 December, 2016.
Striker Samira Suleiman opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a free header from a Portia Boakye corner kick.
Six minutes later Boakye made it two from a 25-yard strike to end the first half on a two nil note.
The Tunisians showed some well rehearsed tactics but never yielded any result till Priscilla Adobea made it three with a solo effort on the 70th minute.
Samira added the fourth goal with a superb volley with a minute to end proceedings to end the encounter 4-0.
Ghana have qualified on a 6-1 aggregate for the championship and the players are poised to make history once again after conquering Africa in the All Africa Games in Congo last year.
