A trigger-happy robber who shot a customer of the First Atlantic Bank at Ridge in Accra several times in the leg has been shot and arrested by the Police.
The two-man robbery group stormed the Ridge branch of the bank Tuesday evening and accosted a customer who had gone to cash an unspecified amount of money.
According to customers, the victim was about leaving the bank’s premises on a motorbike then suddenly the robbers surfaced and began firing warning shots.
The eyewitness said when the customer refused to hand over the money, one of the robbers fired him several times in the leg.
The police arrived at the scene on time to disarm the robbers after shooting one in the leg with the other escaping.
The injured customer is receiving treatment at an undisclosed location.
The police are investigating the case.
