It has been confirmed that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Abetifi in the Eastern region, Peter Wiafe Pepera has passed away. The MP passed away Saturday May 21, 2016.
In an interview, the NPP vice chairman in the Eastern region, Alhaji Omar Bodinga confirmed that the MP had been sick for some time.
“About three weeks ago, I was at Abetifi and I had news from the executives that the MP is not well.”
He would not comment on the MP’s death until he is official informed by the Abetifi constituency executives.
Pepera has been in parliament after the 2008 elections. He declared his decision not to contest in the 2016 election before the NPP primaries in 2015.
Before he went to parliament he was the Managing Director, Paramount Distilleries.
