An electrician, Ben Nunoo has died in tragic circumstances when he was electrocuted whilst working in Sege in the Dangme West District of the Greater Accra Region last Wednesday, August 31, 2016.
Nunoo who was believed to be in his early 40s, was reportedly working on an electricity pole to correct a faulty line during lights out and suffered the tragic electrocution when the light was switched on whilst he was still up there.
According to reports, the dead Nunoo was left hanging on the electricity pole for over an hour until the Police arrived at the scene.
Sources close to the deceased who worked part-time on contract basis with the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) revealed that Nunoo had packed bag and baggage ready to travel to Doryumu on the said day for his late sister’s funeral and decided to do that job to raise money for his trip.
His dead body has since been deposited at the Dangme East District Hospital, Faithkorpe, Ada.
