Public servants will have a 10 percent salary increase from January 2017. This was announced by the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations Haruna Iddrisu on Wednesday.
In January 2016 the government increased the minimum wage to GH8. This means that the minimum wage would increase to GH8.80 in January 2017.
The increase was agreed on after a meeting was held between the national tripartite committee. This committee is made up of representatives from the Ghana Employers Association (GEA), the Trade Union Congress (TUC), other labour unions and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations (representing government).
According to Accra-based Citi Fm, Haruna Iddrisu called on all employers and institutions to adhere to the new wage when the time comes for it to be implemented.
Your mode of telling the whole thing in this paragraph
is truly fastidious, all be able to without difficulty understand
it, Thanks a lot.
Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it
was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still
new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for first-time blog writers?
I’d certainly appreciate it.
