Ghanaian JOE DODOO struck deep into stoppage time as Rangers needed every second of added time to snatch the points.
After Harry Forrester’s late goal against Dundee last weekend, another last-gasp strike – this time 3½ minutes into added time – won it for Mark Warburton’s side.
The win moves Rangers into second place in the table – but if they’re as ineffective as they were here against Hearts and Aberdeen in the next week they won’t be there for long.
Thistle haven’t won any of the last 27 matches between the sides – you have to go back to May 1993 since they recorded a win over Rangers.
But they’ll seldom come closer after going ahead when Kris Doolan took advantage of dismal Rangers defending with only 14 minutes to go.
It continues Thistle’s wretched run of being without a home win since the start of August, but while Rangers made it seven games unbeaten in the league, the lack of a cutting edge almost cost them again.
