The head pastor of the International Central Gospel Church-Yahweh Temple- East Legon, Rev. Ismaila Hansmittson Awudu has asked Christians to vote according to Biblical terms.
In an interview with hillgospelnews.com, Rev. Hansmittson revealed that voting according to Biblical terms is legal and even God endorses the one who emerges as King.
According to Rev. Hansmittson, religion cannot be totally separated from governance because religion and governance go together.
“God is first the King and in other areas He has given the opportunity of jurisdiction to man, and that any other government being it democracy, autocracy, originated from God.
“Politics have penetrated into both religious, public sectors and all that, so Christians do not have that love we use to have anymore and we now find it difficult to differentiate between what the spirits is saying and what the flesh is saying,” he said.
Rev. Hansmittson opined that, God speaks about Kings and the attitude of Kingship but then the public should bear in mind that humans are to do things according to God’s will but not of theirs.
“If we come to Biblical terms, you will bear in mind with me that God speaks to Kings and the nation as a whole through prophets.
“In the case of prophesies about presidency, it is never written anywhere in the good book that after God has revealed the chosen one to his prophet he should stand publicly and announce it,” he added.
The head pastor of the Yahweh Temple revealed that, some of the conflicts and war happening around the world is as a result of unguided pronouncements from religious bodies and traditional leaders.
“If God reveals to prophets, there are two things they should know which are pronouncing it or holding onto it.
“When you are even saying it publicly there should be an amount of wisdom attached to what is coming out of your mouth in order for your pronouncement not to cause any conflict,” he said.
According to him, God values the unity of His people but indicated that some prophets tend to vehemently defend themselves whenever they make a pronouncement.
He further condemned the use of foul words by some ‘men of God’.
“We are rational beings and no matter what there is going to be misunderstanding here and there but as far as our national security agencies are with us, I can assure u that the December 7 election 2016 will be stable and we will have our chosen one sworn into power.
“However God have not taken our franchise from us so I will encourage that we should go out there and vote free and fairly because we have the passion to support but not for destruction,” he stated.
