La Kaklamadu played a fantastic game at the finals of the 2016 McDan Peace Football Tournament to beat La Court 2-0 in the finals of the event sponsored by Dr. Daniel McKorley CEO of McDan Group of Companies.
The winning team took home $1,000, a giant trophy plus medals while the runners went away with $500 plus medals.
The player who scored most goals (Goal King) was given a trophy and $150 and a certificate, while the Best Player,Jerry Jay got a trophy and $200 plus a certificate.
The teams that participated are La Aviation Stars, Salem Stars, La, Gormli Stars, Osu XI, Teshie XI and Nungua XI, La Court Stars and Kaklamadu XI
All the eight participating teams received an appearance fee of hundred and fifty cedis, jerseys, balls and certificate of participation.
Dr. Dan McKorley and the other political leaders in the La DadeKotopon Constituency namely the sitting MP, Hon. Nii Amasa Namoale and rivals Vincent Sowah Odotei of the NPP and Madam Cynthia Mensah of the CPP all advised the people on ensuring peace and living in a peaceful environment.
