Jail ‘corrupt’ Mahama appointees – NDC activist Lord Hamah tells Akufo -Addo

An activist of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lord Hamah, says President –elect , Nana Akufo-Addo should make sure that certain corrupt elements within the out-going government are prosecuted.

Hamah, who played a vital role in the re-election of the NDC in 2008 , believes the president –elect has no excuse to treat corrupt elements in the current administration with kid gloves .

“Nana Akufo Addo must understand that his highest obligation and mandate is to commit certain NDC officials to prison,” Mr Hammah posted on his Facebook wall on Monday.

Hammah, who was an active member of now defunct pressure group, Committee for Joint Action (CJA) has been very critical of the current government in recent times, accusing its officials of abandoning the ideals of the party and amassing wealth instead.

He also been critical of the youth wing of the party adding that many of the activists are too anti-intellectual in their public discourses.

However , some NDC members have accused the former student leader of being bitter since he has been sidelined by the party unlike many of his friends who are occupying some ‘juicy’ positions in government.

“You [Hammah] are a Disgrace and a Liability to NDC its because of some of that is why NDC lost so that we can flush you out.Why are you Bitter ,do you think you contributed to NDC than others.Let the Law takes its .You are not the investigator for NPP pls.This sycophancy must stop and give way to proper reorganization of NDC without you.Thanks,” a fellow NDC member responded.

Lord Hammah is the senior brother of former Deputy Communications Minister, Victoria Hammah, who was sacked after her voice was captured on tape, saying she would make a minimum of one million dollars before she leaves office.
