Newly elected Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi in the Eastern Region, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has taken over from Mustapha Hamid as spokesperson for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Transition team.
The leader of the NPP Transition team, Yaw Osarfo Maafo, broke the news to journalists at the Accra Conference Center on Monday . He however failed to offer any special reason for the decision.
Mustapha Hamid, an Islamic Scholar, has been the spokesperson for President –elect Nana Akufo -Addo since 2008 and was recently appointed spokesperson for the NPP transition team .
According to sources, the move will allow Hamid to concentrate on his core duty as spokesperson for the president-elect.
Oppong Nkrumah has a track record in media relations following his stint with Multimedia as Super Morning Show host .
