A total of nine government appointees to the Ada East District Assembly have been sacked with immediate effect after failing to get the president’s District Chief Executive nominee for the area endorsed, Adacommunityonline.com can exclusively report.

The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council issued a revocation letter late Monday afternoon, few hours after 23 assembly members voted against the presidential nominee for District Chief Executive, confirmed Mr. Bright Ahiagba, communications officer for the NPP in the Ada East District in a telephone conversation on Monday evening.
Mrs. Sarah Dugbakie Pobee, the nominee secured 13 votes against 23, which is a constitutional disqualification due to her inability to secure at least 18 votes to qualify her for the second round.
Sarah Pobee needed 24 votes to secure her position as the DCE for the Ada East District.
