Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani, the CEO of Groupe Ideal, main sponsors of this year’s Asafotufiami festival, on Monday, 19 of June descended heavily on some Chiefs of Ada whose actions he describes as shameful and not helping the progress of Ada in relation to the ever worrying ‘Atsiakpo’ menace that has engulfed the community.
Dr. Dzani who was speaking at the launch of the 80th Anniversary of the annual festival of the people of Ada, minced no words by expressing his displeasure and disappointment in the behaviour of some of the chiefs in the fight against the ‘Atsiakpo’ menace.
For starters, Atsiakpo is the illegal mining of salt around the Songor Lagoon by individuals. According to him, after a

meeting with the paramount Chief of the Ada traditional area, Nene Abraham Akuaku Kabu III and the sub chiefs, there was a consensus to try and end the disturbing issue of Atsiakpo, but when a resolution was passed for the Chiefs to append their signature so the fight for the Atsiakpo to kick start, he was shocked that most of the Chiefs refused to sign and it has since become a major worry for Nene Kabu III.
So when Dr. Dzani took his turn on the podium to address the gathering, he did not take it kindly at all.
“I stand here very disappointed with what is going on. I must say that I am ashamed of some of the Chiefs who refuse to sign the resolution. You must be ashamed of yourselves. I know some of you are here wining and dining and will leave here to go and continue the wrong thing,” he said plainly.
“The attitude of this modern leaders shows that the coming generation do not have a future,” Dr. Dzani stated emphatically.
The member of the Council of State added: “To call yourself a chief is not about drinking and eating but to seek to the developmental aspirations of the people you lead. I want to sound a word of caution to you that, if you don’t change this attitude, one day posterity will judge all of us.”

Hi there, its fastidious article on the topic of media print,
we all be aware of media is a impressive source of information.
Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it
to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
