
The much publicized 2017 Obonu Health Walk started and ended successfully from the Danquah Circle at Osu RE through the popular Makola Market to the James Town Chief’s palace popularly called Manste Agbona.
The event which was sponsored by Greenfield Scientific Herbal Clinic attracted a lot of people from all walks of life.
After the Walk, Yours Truly displayed his skills in leading the calisthenics exercises and aerobics work outs with music which made the old folks dance and make merry.

Dr. Bright Okoe of Greenfield Scientific Herbal Clinic, sponsor of the programme who was very happy with the turn out and awareness created said exercising daily is very ideal for any human being, and people must periodically make health checks to know levels in sugar, hypertension, diabetes and cancer.
He urged people to eat balanced diet regularly and engage in more physical activities.
The Walk touched some officials of the radio station who participated fully, namely Nii Adjei klu – programs manager, Osofo Laryea – Morning Show host, Osofo Laryea – Morning Show host, Maame Lartey Tsotsoo Chorkor Obonu Manye, Manye Ashorkor Poly and Osofo Laryea – Morning Show. The Obonu Sports team were there fully represented by Odehebi Commey, Nii Tetteh Fada, Odai Laryea, Armah Oblie and Naa Amerley who stole the show with her inspirational dances.
Other Obonu workers whose presence were felt are DJ Isaac Ofei, Neequaye Boye, Morning Show Producer/ DJ, DJ Soo Yoo, Maamle Dizzy – News Presenter and Maamle Suzzy, also a News Presenter.
There was massive support for an annual Walk and immediately the Planning Committee for Obunu Walk 2018 has been put in place to look for sponsors to make the next Walk an improvement.
This year, the station targeted 1,500 people and it was over whelming.
Nii Tetteh Fada, one of the Planners hinted that next year, the target will double.
He thanked all the participants and the James Town Manste whose premise (palace) they had their reception after the event.
