The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSSAG), has declared an indefinite strike following the refusal of government to implement the consolidation of their salaries and allowances.
This is the second time JUSAC is embarking on strike this year. A similar action in April was suspended after a day following assurances by the labour minister Haruna Iddrisu.
The Judicial Council after a review of the conditions of service of workers of the Judicial Service last year noted that the allowances and salaries of the staff must be consolidated.
But the government has failed to implement the recommendation after the Council forwarded the agreed salary structure in June.
The strike is expected to affect justice delivery in the country.
