People in the Ada East District are appealing to the President John Dramani to reconstruct the road linking Kasseh to Ada Foah to help boost business activities in the area.
The 15 kilometre road is in a deplorable state and is said to be severely affecting economic activities and livelihood within the district.
According to residents and motorist who use the road regularly, the project had been awarded to a constructor but due to lack of funds, he abandoned it and this is also affecting tourist attraction to the area which harbours both the sea, river and an estuary to boot.
The present condition of the roads not only poses a challenge to traders and economic activities for the people in the district but has been identified as also a death trap for drivers and traders who ply the roads on daily basis.
“With keen interest, my compassionate Christian president, Mr President John Dramani Mahama, the people of Ada are calling for your prompt attention to fix the Ada roads now. Thanks! #fixadaroadsnow,” one native of Ada, Bob Romeo Roco posted on Facebook along with our attached photo.
A driver who spoke with the news team of Adacommunityonline.com but pleaded anonymity said the poor nature of the road is very terrible and is therefore appealing to the authorities in charge to attend to the situation for a solution.
