Ada Foah Police have finally arrested Hon. Theophilus Tetteh Ocansey known as T.T. Plumber, the accused person who slapped Hon. Ahuahey, the Assemblymember for Bedeku electoral area on 30th August, 2016.
He is yet to be granted police bail.
Upon his arrest, few followers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Presiding member, Alhaji Shamsudeen Adjovu were present to sympathize with the accused.
On the 30th August 2016, Hon. Theophilus Tetteh Ocansey, the accused person who is a government appointee took the law into his own hand and slapped Hon. George Ahuahey without any provocation before Assembly session.
According to an eye witness, the complainant was standing with four other assembly members namely Hon. Ebenezer Ocansey, Hon. Thomas Katey Jumpah, Hon. John Kubi and Hon. Noah Dogah at the forecourt of Ada East District Assembly hall for a meeting summoned by the
presiding member, Alhaji Shamsudeen Adjovu.
The presence of the accused person was appellate by Hon. Jumpah with popular name Honorable. Upon approach, the accused person, without any provocation, slapped the complainant, Hon. George Ahuahey and it resulted in blood oozing from his nose.
The Accused is now in the grip of the Ada Foah police for further investigation.
