The Kasseh Area Council having been sworn into office held their first meeting on Monday to map up strategies to tackle the challenges of the area.
Chairmen of the six Unit Committees and the Assembly Members of the six Electoral Areas formed the Kasseh Area Council, with Hon. Noah Dogah, the Assembly member for Tamatoku Electoral area elected to serve as Chairman.
The Kasseh area Council comprises of Bedeku, Tamatoku/Kadjanya, Kasseh, Amlakpo, Asigbekope and Dogo/Togbloku Electoral Areas.

At their first meeting, members resolved to call on the District Administrators to organise training workshop for members on the Local Governance Laws so that they will become abreast of their Official mandate as council members.
Meanwhile, they have identified an urgent need for Kasseh (Ada Junction) to get road traffic lights since they are unhappy about the hassle people have to encounter before crossing especially on Market days, Tuesdays and Fridays. This has often resulted in many accidents cases.
Sanitation, and the need for irrigation for farming were some other challenges identified which make life difficult for people in the Area.
The various units have also been tasked to collate and prioritise the problems of their various areas for the necessary action.
The 3rd of March, 2016 was fixed for the second session.
