Ghana’s Isaac ‘Royal Storm’ Dogboe held a thanksgiving service at the Ten Commandments Temple in Anyako, Kpota in the Volta Region to give glory to God almighty for his elevation to a world boxing champion.
23 year old Dogboe outclassed and outpointed Mexican-American, Jessie Magdaleno in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA last month to win the WBO junior featherweight belt and also become Ghana’s all-time youngest ever world champion.
The highly religious Dogboe never leaves out God in his speeches and before and after fights, and Saturday in his hometown of Anyao, he held a formal ceremony attended by his kinsmen, church members, traditional leaders, authorities of Ghana boxing as well as his large army of fans.
