
Bolga All Stars claimed top spot of Zone One after match day one of the GN Bank Division One league after smoothly defeating Tamale Utrecht 2-0 at the Bolgatanga Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
 brace from top striker Noah Neequaye in each half of the game sealed the victory for the Stars of the East.
Bolga All Stars dominated play from start to finish and broke the virginity of the game in the 44th minute after Noah Neequaye volley home after been put through on goal by Ayine Prosper.
With that goal separating the teams at the end of the first half, Bolga All Stars continued to boss the game in the second half of the match and could have added a second in the 56th minute but Issaku Yahaya came second best to the Tamale Utrecht goalie after a one and one encounter.
Tamale Utrecht should have equalise on the 62th minute but the timely clearance by Man of the Match, Latif Abubakari kept the score at 1-0.
Bolga All Stars lost it inspirational skipper Yussif Gomah during injury in the 72nd minute but that didn’t destabilise them as Noah Neequaye waltzed his way through the visitors defense and expertly volleyed home a good strike for the home side second goal and his personal brace in the dying embers of the game.
Bolga All Stars next game in the division one league is an away tie against regional rivals Bawku Utd at the Bawku sports stadium on Sunday.
