Order!, Order!!’ I am giving you Order as the Regional Minister Hon. Nii Layea Affotey Agbo commands the Ada East DCE before the chiefs of Ada.
The Council members applauded for the Greater Accra Regional Minister Hon. Affotey Agbo when he ordered Hon. John Nurudeen Ahortu to rebuild the traditional Council before the past 2015 Asafotufiami festival for the Chiefs and people of the Ada Traditional Area.
Last year January 2015, Hon. Affotey Agbo paid a working visit to Ada East and West Districts. He interacted with the staffs of the District Assemblies as well as the chiefs. Immediately after the greetings were exchanged at the Traditional Council,
Hon. Affotey Agbo was quick to condemned the state of the building in which the traditional Authorities hold their meetings. He therefore ordered the DCE to immediately pull down the mud structure and put up a modern storey structure so the top floor could be use as offices.
From this January to Asafotufiami come August, I want to see this council rebuilt glass doors and air conditions and the chiefs hailed him with a clap.
Asafotu 2015 came to pass and the current state of the building is worse as it’s getting weaker. The president of the council Nene Abram Kabu Akuaku III who twin as President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs rather ask the Minister to Assist the Traditional Council to get their share from proceeds the Sege Assembly receive from the Songor Salt Lagoon.
A call that the former Chief Executive for Ada West Rejected in presence of the Minister when he attended the same programme at the forecourt of the District Assembly. Hon. Anthony Yao Klokpa replied that the LI will determine whether revenue from Songor will be share amongs Districts.
