On the side of the grand finale of Miss Ada 2016 on Thursday at the MGTV studios in Kasseh, Ada, the programme was divided into two segments: the launching of another reality beauty pageant dubbed Miss Dangme and the crowning of Miss Ada 2016.
In his welcome address to launch Miss Dangme, Mr. John Akplehe Ocansey, CEO of Mega Group of 
Companies highlighted more on the upcoming pageant which is an initiative to unite the Dangme states.
He revealed that ladies will be selected from the various seven Dangme speaking areas which are Ada, Ningo, Prampram, Osudoku, Shai, Yilo Krobo and Manya Krobo. Auditions will be held in each of these towns and two ladies will be selected so in all 14 ladies will contest for the enviable crown.
In order not to interfere with the education of the ladies, they will be housed only on weekends. The ladies will have to be conversant with the culture and traditions of their various states, eloquent, have command over the English language and gorgeous too.
With the help of Rev. S.B. Lawerteh, Dr. Samuel Amoah, Pastor Koomson, the plague was unveiled whilst Mr. Kenneth Kabu chaired the program.
